Dance

A general guide to get you started with research in Dance.

OneSearch

What is it?

Hunter OneSearch combines in one searchable place these three things: the CUNY library catalog; a massive index of articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers; and unique digital content from the library.

Searching for dance materials

Select the advanced search option below the OneSearch box on the library home page. Then try searching for dance materials by selecting "Subject" from the first drop-down menu (the default is "any field") and "contains" from the second drop-down menu. You can also search the name of a person this way, for example, Twyla Tharp, or a broader term like "choreographers."

Books from other CUNY Schools

If you need a book that Hunter does not own other CUNY schools may have the title you need. You can borrow books from other CUNY schools through CLICS: CUNY Libraries InterCampus Service. Click this link to learn how to borrow materials using CLICS.

InterLibrary Loan

To get your hands on books and other materials not available within the CUNY system, use our InterLibrary Loan system, ILLiad. ILLiad can be used for books as well as journal articles.
