Finding Books

Finding books in Onesearch: Enter your search; choose Hunter Library from the right panel. After executing your search, choose Books under Resource Type in the right panel. To limit to print books, choose Items Currently on Shelf under Limit to in the right panel. To search all of CUNY choose New Search (CUNY) from the top of your screen. To request books from other CUNY libraries click on Sign In.

Google Books

Google Books gives you access to the searchable full text of millions of out of copyright texts, including the vast majority of classic philosophy texts. Books still in copyright (roughly those published since 1923) are often partially available in Google Books.

Finding Books not Owned by CUNY

For books not owned by CUNY try World Cat. World Cat will give you access to the catalogs of hundreds of college, university, and research libraries. You can then request these books on interlibrary loan.
