Dante: Using Google to Find Things in Books

Google Books is a great way to find scholarly discussions of your topic.

Try this search box for "dante inferno" (without the quotation marks), plus other words scholars might use to talk about your topic.

Google Book Search

It's not about reading whole books. Indeed, this site only gives you a sample of the text, if a book is in copyright.

But it is indispensible for finding chapters or even shorter discussions of your topic inside books.

If you find something good, use the Hunter Libraries website to see if we have it in Hunter Library.

If you can't get the book from Hunter, you can get it from other CUNY libraries, the New York Public Libraries, or through Interlibrary Loan.
