A student will understand that there are differences among information sources; can search several kinds of sources to retrieve information.
Book vs. Article vs. Website, etc. A student will recognize that knowledge is organized into disciplines and identify a variety of types and formats of potential information sources (e.g., multimedia, database, website, data set, audio/visual, book).
Primary vs. Secondary A student will understand the research potential of using primary vs. secondary sources; can differentiate between the two.
Scholarly vs. Popular A student will identify the purpose and audience of potential information sources, reevaluate the nature and extent of information needed and differentiate between scholarly and popular sources.
